Fleet Extended Data Service (EDS) Cards

The Thredd platform supports the generation of cards with Fleet EDS, enabling business to track expenses on employee vehicle use. Allowing a modern chip-based rather than a closed loop card solution, Fleet EDS enables you to control and manage traditional fuel and EV use, as well as other mobility-related expenses. Through different parts of the Thredd platform, you can monitor and report on in-depth transaction details (such as fuel type and odometer readings), itemised expenses, and carbon emission data.

Fleet EDS cards currently use the Visa Card Scheme only.

How Fleet Extended Data Service Cards Work

Program Managers work with Thredd to design Fleet EDS cards, which are implemented by a card manufacturer.

Thredd passes on the Authorisation and Presentment data of Fleet EDS card payments received from the Visa Card Scheme to the EHI, Thredd Portal, Smart Client, and the XML report services.
