Thredd Cards
Thredd provides APIs to create cards, which can be either physical cards or virtual cards.
Virtual Cards
A Virtual Card is a card that does not have any physical plastics generated and can only be used to pay for purchases online or via Mail and Telephone Order (MOTO).
Primary and Secondary Cards
The primary card is the main card which your customer uses to load funds into their account. The primary card can be linked to one or more secondary cards, which are loaded with funds from the primary card. Typically funds are transferred from the primary card to the secondary card.
Card Manufacturers
If your card programme requires printing of physical cards, you can use one of our many pre-integrated card manufacturers in the region where you are issuing cards.
