PAN Finder Migration

PAN Finder is an application that Thredd made available to clients before Thredd Portal.

It enables clients to retrieve the full Primary Account Number (PAN) of a card or the linked Thredd public token.

As a result of Thredd's enhancements to its platform, a new version of PAN Finder is available to clients.

To continue using PAN Finder, you must download and install the latest version of PAN Finder from Thredd.

If you do not use Smart Client or PAN Finder, and instead use Thredd Portal for your cards and transaction management, do not download and install Smart Client and PAN Finder.

System Requirements

To install the Thredd PAN Finder application, you must first download and install the latest version of Smart Client, following the instructions in Smart Client Migration. This requires a computer running Windows 7 or later that meets the same requirements as the Smart Client application.

To install the prerequisite software, use Microsoft Edge to click on one of the following links that is relevant to your environment.

For best practice, Thredd recommends that you first set up your organisation's access in the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) environment, so that you can verify that your organisation can use Thredd applications and API endpoints successfully.

Migrating PAN Finder

To update to the latest version of PAN Finder in a UAT (User Acceptance Testing) environment:

  1. Check if you already have an existing version of PAN Finder installed, and remove any previous version. If you have previously used a cloud-based version of PAN Finder, remove any bookmarks you may have for it.

  2. Download the latest version of PAN Finder.

  3. Select Install to download and install the app to your local drive.

  4. Once you have installed the app, locate the PAN Finder shortcut icon on your desktop and open the application.

  5. Test the latest version of PAN FInder and verify that it works as you expect.

When you are satisfied that you can successfully use the new version of PAN Finder, you should inform Thredd and coordinate preparing for moving to your Production environment.

To update to the latest version of PAN Finder in a Production environment, repeat the steps to download and install the application.
