Do any exemptions apply to this transaction? Tick one of the following:

Transaction is from a parking or commuter transport Merchant Category Code (i.e., 4111, 4112, 4131, 4784, 7523)

Transaction is Contactless and below the contactless limit (e.g., 30 EUR)*

Transaction is e-commerce and below the e-commerce limit (e.g., 30 EUR)*

Transaction is a Recurring Payment or instalment payment**

None of the above apply

The transaction is exempt under the PSD2 rules. The transaction will be approved.

The transaction is not exempt from the PSD2 rules. Further PSD2 checks are required. Go to PSD2 Test 3.

* And the number of previous contactless/e-commerce transactions below this limit and has not exceeded the cumulative limit or maximum number of transactions allowed.

** And, if enabled for your programme, Thredd has checked that the original transaction linked to the recurring payment was SCA.
