Introduction

Thredd's Fleet EDS (Extended Data Service) reports include details on transactions associated with Fleet EDS cards, covering a wide-variety of vehicle and mobility data. The reports contain XML files that include data such as prompt readings, fuel purchases, and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging made by customers who typically use vehicles for work purposes. The rich data makes the reports a useful source of information for invoicing, monitoring emissions, troubleshooting payments, and generating analytics.

Examples of transactions and transactions-related data available in Fleet EDS reports include:

  • Carbon footprint readings for government CO2 requirements.

  • Complete itemised details on fuel and non-fuel expenditures.

  • Authorisation and presentment information to mitigate against misuse of expenses.

Report Architecture

Thredd generates XML reports from messages with Fleet EDS data transactions, which are sent from the Visa Card Scheme only. Thredd sends the Fleet EDS reports to you over sFTP on a daily basis, where you can set the precise time. A Fleet EDS report links the vehicle data to existing transactions on the Thredd Platform, where the transaction type is either Authorisation, Authorisation Advice, or Presentment. For Presentments, each transaction entry includes Fleet EDS data and one or more line items. The report architecture is summarised as follows:

Related Thredd Reports

In addition to Fleet EDS reports, Thredd generates:

  • Global reports that include the Clearing Data Transaction Report and the Non-Clearing Data Transaction Report.

  • Level 2 and 3 Enhanced Data Report.

Clearing Data Transaction Report

The Clearing Data Transaction Report contains details of financials, interchange fees, chargebacks and other presentment data for Issuers (BIN sponsors), Self-Issuers, and Program Managers. For more information, see the Global Transaction Reporting Guide.

Non-Clearing Data Transaction Report

The Non-Clearing Data Transaction Report contains details of daily authorisations, loads and unloads, Thredd fees and other authorisation data. For more information, see the Global Transaction Reporting Guide.

Level 2 and 3 Enhanced Data Report

Thredd's Level 2 and 3 enhanced data reporting for commercial card customers includes specific product and services data that are associated with day-to-day transactions. The reports enable Thredd to share product and services data of various categories from the Card Schemes. For more details, see the Level 2 and 3 Enhanced Scheme Data Reporting Guide.
